Impatient Forecasts

The water licked slowly

at the shore

flat tinkle fashion

its surface reflecting the deep tones

of a sky not sure what to do

paynes grey clouds tingeing over with purple

cerulean blue openings

clouds lined in gold and luminous pink

the summer sun was jostling with spring

winter had yet to let go

impatient seasons

playing out their dynamics

lethargic rain plopped

while the sun squeezed between clouds

casting a spotlight on the day
